A man has been charged after weapons were seized in Tamworth. Jamie Stearne, 24, from Coton Green, Tamworth, has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a private place, using a motor vehicle on a road / public place without third party insurance and driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence. It comes after officers searched a house and a car in Coton Green on Tuesday (16 June). They seized a stun gun, machete and a samurai sword. He is due to appear at Cannock Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 8 July. The 39-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug and possession of a weapon for the discharge of a noxious liquid / gas / electrical incapacitation device has been bailed with conditions.
