Good afternoon, As we continue to experience warmer weather, we would like to remind residents to take extra care in keeping their homes secure. Burglaries can increase during periods of hot weather, as doors and windows are often left open or unsecured. Please take a moment to consider the following advice:
• 🔒 Always lock doors and windows when leaving your property, even for a short time • 🪟 Avoid leaving windows open downstairs or accessible upstairs windows when out or overnight • 💼 Keep valuables out of sight, particularly near windows • 🚪 Ensure garden gates, sheds, and garages are secure • 👀 Be mindful of unknown individuals in the area and report any suspicious activity • 💡 Consider using timers, lighting, or alarms to make your property look occupied
Keep your vehicles windows closed, locked and alarmed, remove all valuables out of sight when vehicle is not in use. We also encourage neighbours to look out for one another and report any concerns to Greater Manchester Police via 101, or 999 in an emergency. By working together, we can help keep Swinton a safe place to live. Thank you for your support. Officer Zaib Amirat 72143
