Staying Safe in Warmer Weather 🌞

Good Morning from Normanton SNT,

We hope everyone is having a lovely start to the week and making the most of the sunshine we’re currently enjoying 🌞

While the warmer weather is welcome, it’s important to stay safe and look after yourselves and those around you during hotter days.

A few simple ways to stay safe:

Keep hydrated – drink plenty of water throughout the day

Try to avoid long periods in direct sunlight, especially during peak hours

Always wear appropriate sun cream to protect your skin

Please avoid walking pets during the hottest parts of the day – pavements can become dangerously hot

General warm weather advice:

Check in on elderly or vulnerable neighbours who may need a little extra support

Never leave children or pets in parked vehicles, even for a short time

Keep your home cool where possible by closing blinds/curtains during the day

Be mindful of open water – only swim where it is safe to do so

Let’s all enjoy the sunshine responsibly and keep our community safe.
