Hi Resident
Unfortunately the planned street briefing will be cancelled for today due to specific taskings and officer extractions.
Local Safer Neighbourhood officers will be out on the ward today conducting high visibility patrols, if you have any questions related to the ward please message the team using Met Engage.
With the temperatures soaring this week, we wanted to send out our water safety reminder to all of our residents.
Take care of yourself during the hot weather. Stay out of the water and act safely to help someone in trouble, don’t jump in, instead, follow this advice: · call 999 without a delay and request the appropriate emergency service. · In a large open area use What 3 Words to provide your exact location to emergency services. · If possible, throw a floating object, such as a lifebuoy, and encourage the person to float on their back, while help is on the way. · If it is safe to do so, extend a pole, branch or similar object from a secure position. · Do not enter the water unless you are properly trained and equipped. Video can be accessed here: Water Safety | Don’t take risks and risk your life.
Furthermore, the Local Authority have shared advice regarding BBQs. If you are enjoying our parks in this hot weather please remember that BBQs are not allowed in any of our parks & open spaces and please put your rubbish in a bin or take it with you - dropped litter, including cigarette butts & glass can cause fires.
and a further advice from London Ambulance Service: With an extreme heat warning in place from Monday, we're asking Londoners to take extra care. Stay hydrated Wear sunscreen Find shade Carry your medication / inhaler Check on elderly relatives / neighbours
