Incident on 82 Bus

Earlier today, PC 16269 Parker and PC 10518 Slater attended an incident on board the 82 bus at the bottom of Ripponden Road.

A male, believed to be suffering with mental health issues, had caused disruption on the bus and displayed aggression towards passengers and the driver. As a result, the driver was forced to stop the vehicle and all passengers were evacuated for their safety.

Attending officers, along with response colleagues, quickly brought the situation under control. The male was safely removed from the bus without further incident and was subsequently returned to the care of those responsible for him.

We appreciate the understanding and patience of the public during this incident. Ensuring the safety of passengers and providing appropriate care for vulnerable individuals remains a priority.
