Joint Weapon Sweep Uncovers Concealed Item in Valentines Park |
||
|
Officers from Valentines Safer Neighbourhood Team, supported by Met Volunteers and colleagues from Cranbrook and Newbury wards, recently conducted a joint weapon sweep across Valentines park in the Redbridge area. The operation involved a thorough search of known areas of concern. A significant find was made when a Met Volunteer discovered a mobile phone that had been tightly wrapped in cling film and buried in the ground — consistent with methods used to conceal items connected to criminal activity. The operation is part of our ongoing commitment to keeping Redbridge's public spaces safe and free from weapons and drugs. The dedication shown by our Met Volunteers and ward colleagues directly contributes to making our parks safer for every resident. We will continue to conduct these operations regularly."
