We received a report of an assault involving a child at the Fun Farm Nursery in North Hykeham on Tuesday 23 June 2026.
An investigation has been launched and remains ongoing.
Ofsted have temporarily suspended the nursery’s license.
A woman in her 30's has been arrested in connection with this incident and remains in police custody.
We are aware of speculation circulating online suggesting this incident involved a sexual assault. At this stage of our enquiries, there is no information to indicate that a sexual assault has taken place. We recognise this will be a concerning time for parents and carers; however, we would like to stress that speculation can be harmful and may impact our investigation.
We will also be working alongside Lincolnshire County Council’s Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) and Ofsted as part of our enquiries.
