This has been a particularly hot and uncomfortable set of shifts in South Wigston but still yielded some results (which is more than we can say about the England game):
-Attended a reported burglary, thankfully not as reported, just a faulty alarm!
-Assisted the Oadby team at 'GlenFest' which was a great wqay to introduce young people to their neighbourhood police
-Evidence obtained for multiple investigations, hopefully leading to siccessful prosecutions
-Welfare visits for vulnerable persons and follow-up calls and visits for victims of ASB
-Male collared for cat-calling two females... two undercover officers in fact (he'll not be doing that again in a hurry)
-Drivers dealt with under Section 59 of the Police reform Act for inconsiderate driving - careless and incosnderate driving continues to blight South Wigston and we do not give anybody a ‘smack on the wrist', all drivers will face consequences of some description.
-One stolen vehicle located and recovered by myself and PCSO Cara
-Dangerous, illegal electric 2-wheelers seized and will be destroyed, though we know there are hundreds more out thereto get! -Lots of work to and identify the riders of dangerous, illegal motorcycles on Blaby Road Park. CCTV, intelligence and other reports help us to locate these individuals who can expect a knock at he door soon enough

The use of illegal motorcycles (and scooters) in public places is an increasing concern in South Wigston and is something we take very seriously. We cannot stop and seize every single one as we would never have time for anything else, but the worst offenders (anyone committing other offences, riding dangerously or antisocially and those who ride dangerously modified electric motorcycles) are being targeted and we are slowly seeing them taken off the streets.
