Cannabis Farm on Cranston Road

On the 26th of June 2026 a large cannabis farm was discovered with approximately 80 plants on Cranston Road.

We would like to reassure the residents of Cranston Road following this recent discovery and also highlight the strength of our community and the importance of speaking up. Yesterday a concerned resident reported suspicious activity to police via this Met Engage platform, and thanks to their vigilance and willingness to act, officers were able to respond quickly.

Once contact was made, officers obtained an emergency warrant from the courts and carried it out within 6 hours. This effective reporting led to the identification and dismantling of this significant illegal cannabis operation.

At this time, there is no wider risk to the community, and we want to reassure residents that this matter has been dealt with safely. We would like to thank the member of the public who came forward. Reports like this play a vital role in helping us keep neighbourhoods safe. If you ever notice something that doesn’t seem right, please do report it, no matter how small it may seem.
