It’s a hot one out there! Rivers, lakes and reservoirs all look tempting to cool off, but open water can be very dangerous. The water’s still cold enough to send even the strongest swimmer into cold water shock, and hidden hazards or currents can all turn a simple dip into a real emergency. Make sure you’re cooling off safely: ✅ Stay hydrated ✅ Seek shade during the hottest part of the day ✅ Choose supervised swimming facilities where possible ❌ Don't enter open water to cool down Enjoy the sunshine, look out for each other, and stay cool the safe way.
