Dear Resident, Here is our weekly update from the Northfield Neighbourhood team. Our Priorities - Retail Crime & High Street Safety: Addressing shoplifting and antisocial behaviour on Northfield High Street through partnership with the Northfield Business Improvement District (BID)
- Targeting Drug Offences: Increasing patrols to address reports of drug use and dealing, with Operation Wayfarer focusing on disrupting these issues.
- Begging and Street Population: Addressing issues around street begging, drug use and anti social behaviour in public spaces.
- Crime Prevention & Youth Intervention: Focussing on reducing shop theft, providing early intervention and tackling organised crime in the Birmingham area
What’s been happening? - Officers have been conducting CCTV enquires with various businesses in regards to shop thefts.
- Assisting sister wards in regards to managing traveller encampments.
- Engaging with partner agencies in relation to issues within the community.
- High visibility patrols of Northfield Highstreet conducted.
- Highstreet PCSOs had a meeting with Northfield Business Improvement District.
