Abraham Moss Knife Amnesty Event

Good evening,

PC Foster and PCSO Batty attended the Knife Amnesty, Hope 4 Cheetham Event at Abraham Moss Leisure Centre this evening. 

The event was to educate local youths on knife crime and keeping safe in the community, whilst also providing a knife Amnesty bin, where knives could be safely and anonymously disposed of. Those attending also got to learn some first aid. This was all organised by June Kelly MBE and the children of Abraham Moss Warriors.

In attendance were local councillors, along with the Major of Manchester, Shaukat Ali, who gave a presentation and opened the new public ‘Bleed Kit’ that is now located at the entrance to the leisure centre, should it be required in a medical emergency.

The event was very beneficial for the community and enjoyed by all who attended
