Anti-Social behaviour |
||
|
Officers have been out in force continuing to tackle anti-social behaviour (ASB) that is affecting the Burnt Oak area, particularly around Barnfield School. We are aware that individuals have been targeting parents by harassing them and begging for money. This behaviour will not be tolerated, especially when parents are simply trying to pick up their children from school. Officers are carrying out proactive high-visibility patrols alongside PCSOs at key times to deter this behaviour and to ensure that residents of Burnt Oak feel safe at all times. Over the past four months, a team of four officers has been highly proactive, resulting in 55 offenders being dealt with, all of whom were arrested within the Burnt Oak ward. A number of these individuals were identified as prolific offenders. We recognise that drug dealing and anti-social behaviour are significant issues in Burnt Oak. This is why you will continue to see an increased police presence in the area to deter crime and reassure the community. This remains a key priority for the ward and will continue to be so.
