NEIGHBOURHOOD POLICING AND PREVENTION UPDATE Monthly Community Update from Sgt Tom GRACE – June 2026 I hope this message finds you well. As we move through June, I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across our local area, what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving. 🔍 Local Priorities Our current focus areas include: All forms of community and neighbourhood ASB – e.g., Anti-social behaviour hotspots around North Dock, Ann Street, Trostre Road Safety issues – e.g., Speeding concerns raised near Station Rd, Chapman Street and the use of illegal E-Bikes and E-Scooters on Public RoadsIdentify and target drug dealing and drug use in the community – e.g., developing of intelligence and execution of search warrants We’re continuing patrols and targeted operations in these areas, and welcome any feedback or concerns you’d like to raise. 🤝 Partnership Working We’ve been working closely with: Transforming Tyisha Team – working with the community wardens and housing officersBusinesses / Retailers – Launch of SABB (Steal and Be Banned)Carmarthenshire County Council ASB Team – information sharing regarding ASB demand from tenants Mental Health Services - supporting vulnerable personsThese collaborations are helping us respond more effectively and holistically to community needs. 🧑🤝🧑 Community Involvement Thank you to everyone who’s taken part in: Beat Surgery in Home Bargains Store, Station Rd in company of Community Warden HWB, Town Centre - Beat Surgery every Wednesday 10am to 11am Multicultural Network - Every Tuesday 10.30am to Midday - Selwyn Samuel CentreUkraine, Polish & Welsh Heritage Event - Selwyn Samuel Centre 27th June80's Festival Town Centre - 27th JuneMeet the Streets conducted in various locations in Llanelli Town areaNeighbourhood Policing Week 15th to 21st June - various interactions completed and beat surgeries Cuckooing Safeguarding Engagement and Crime Prevention Advice to residentsPolice Cadet's Conducted DP Connects Engagement, Elli centre 6th JuneE-Bike Enforcement Operation held 6th June - 10 E-Bikes and E-Scooters seized under S165 RTA 1988Continued interactions with local community groups, i.e. Bwlch Youth Club, Ysgol Pen Rhos Sports DayYour involvement makes a real difference.
