Burglary reported in Rectory Road , Sutton Coldfield. |
||
|
DearResident. At 2.30am on Sunday the 28th of June 2026 unknown offenders climbed a back gate into the rear garden of a property on Rectory Road. Once at the rear the lock to a rear door was snapped to gain entry to the property. Once inside the offenders have taken car keys belonging to vehicles which were parked ,and secure on the drive way. The offenders have then left the property by the same means they entered. They have then taken a black Mercedes motor vehicle , but have left another vehicle despite taking the keys. To help keep your property safe check all points of entry to your property are secure. Consider the use of anti climbing measures , such as Anti Climbing Paint ,with the supplied warning signage to help prevent gates and fences being climbed. We recommend the fitting of Anti Snap locks to all doors to help make properties more secure. Please secure all windows when going out, or out of a room which could provide access to opportunist burglars. Information on Anti Snap locks can be found at www.locksmiths.co.uk For more crime prevention advice please visit www.westmidlands.police.uk /crime prevention.
