Armed Forces Day Parade, Station Road Chingford |
||
|
๐๐ Honouring Service at Chingford Armed Forces Day Parade ๐๐ It was a privilege to attend the Armed Forces Day Parade in Chingford on Saturday 27 June. As the parade made its way along Station Road, it served as a powerful reminder of the courage, dedication and sacrifice of those who serve, and have served, our country. Seeing members of all branches of the Armed Forces standing alongside our emergency services colleagues highlighted the strength, unity and respect within our community. A standout moment was the presence of the Scots Guards, whose tradition and professionalism added real significance to an already memorable occasion. We were proud to see officers from the Met Special Constabulary and our Waltham Forest Neighbourhood Policing Team not only taking part in the parade, but also working behind the scenes to ensure the event ran safely and smoothly. It was also fantastic to see our Volunteer Police Cadets on parade. Their enthusiasm and commitment continue to inspire, and they truly represent the future of policing. Alongside them, we thank our Special Constabulary colleagues for their ongoing dedication and service. Great to see local councillors and the MP for Chingford also showing their support on the day. Events like this remind us of the importance of coming together as a communityโto honour service, show appreciation and stand side by side in support of those who give so much.
