Earlier today, Sgt Kuttner from the Neighbourhood Team met with Winslow Town Council to discuss concerns around anti-social behaviour (ASB) in the town. Alongside the Deputy Town Clerk, a joint walkabout was carried out to review some of the issues that have been raised by residents. Areas of concern included: • Burnt picnic benches in Tomkins Park • Damage at the football ground • Illegal use of e-bikes on footpaths • Reported drug use
We also spoke about the powers available to us to tackle ASB, including closure orders for properties that are persistently linked to nuisance or disorder.
While Winslow remains a lovely town with relatively low levels of ASB, we know that issues do occur from time to time. Please be reassured that your local Neighbourhood Team is committed to addressing concerns wherever they arise. ________________________________________ How to report Anti-Social Behaviour
Your reports help us build a clear picture and take action: In an emergency or if a crime is in progress: call 999 Non-emergency incidents: call 101 or report online via your local police website Anonymous reporting: contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 Always report — even if it feels minor. Patterns of behaviour help us act more effectively. ________________________________________ Who else can help?
ASB isn’t just a policing issue. Other organisations can also take action: • Local Council – environmental ASB, noise complaints, fly-tipping, community safety measures • Housing Associations / Landlords – tenancy enforcement and neighbour disputes • Youth Services & Outreach Teams – support and diversion for young people • Community Safety Partnerships – joint working to resolve persistent issues ________________________________________ We’re here to help – but we need your support. Reporting concerns early allows us and our partner agencies to take the right action and keep Winslow a safe and welcoming place for everyone. #ASBAwarenessweek
