Stolen vehicle - HOYLAKE CRESCENT - Vehicle RECOVERED

Further to our Alert message earlier today, the stolen vehicle was spotted abandoned in Bayhurst Wood and has been recovered by the police.

The vehicle is now back with its legal owner. Therefore if you see this vehicle please do NOT contact the police with any sightings.

CCTV SEARCHES

CCTV searches local to Hoylake Crescent, Bushey Road and Hoylake Crescent are still very relevant.

The search parameters are repeated below for convenience if you live close to this area, or at any junction nearby that the thieves may have passed through. Identifying their approach path and means of arrival is very important to officers.

Crime details:

In the early hours of this morning, Tuesday 30 June, a Lexus NX350 F Sport

in dark metallic green, registration YS24 OMT, was stolen from an address on Hoylake Crescent on the even numbered side, in the vicinity of the junctions with Pynchester Close and Bushey Road.

The thieves were believed to be at the scene at around 2300hrs working on the vehicle, and then the theft itself took place at 0130hrs.

Action required please:

If you live in the immediate vicinity of the theft your CCTV and video doorbell footage may well be crucial in solving this recent series of car thefts from the area.

The overall timeframe of 2230hrs-0140hrs may contain vital CCTV evidence that will help the police to progress this case.

Key things to look for are:

How did they arrive before 2300hrs - perhaps they were there as much as 30 minutes earlier - so which direction did they come from?

Did they arrive on foot or is there a vehicle moving about that they may have used, or have been dropped off in?

When they took the vehicle at 0130hrs, in which direction did they depart?

Please do not dismiss distant images or unclear images, these can still help to determine the exact timeline, colour of any vehicles, number of suspects who went past your cameras to and from the scene etc.
