ELMDON Crime Updates 22/6/26-30/6/26 |
||
|
Good Morning Elmdon Residents,
Please find the below information for between 22/6/26 and 30/6/26. It has been an incredibly busy week for the local LEOS team trying to manage many calls for service alongside this heatwave we've all being trying to cope with. Thankfully, it has now cooled down, if only for a few days...
Recent Elmdon Crime:
On 22/6/26, a blue BMW M3 vehicle was damaged on MAYSWOOD ROAD on its passenger side window. This investigation has now been filed pending further evidence coming to light. Between 22/6/26-23/6/26, there was an attempted burglary at a business on OLD LODE LANE. Unknown suspect(s) have smashed the window to the front door and entered. No items have been stolen and the investigation is progressing. On 24/6/26, there was an interference with a motor vehicle on COVENTRY ROAD. A male dressed all in black was seen attempting to open the car door. Due to all lines of enquiry being exhausted, this has since being filed.
GOOD NEWS: The team started the weekend off well with a report of a male asleep at the wheel of his vehicle on a busy main road. Upon attendance, it was quickly established that the male was intoxicated and was arrested for being in charge of a vehicle whilst unfit through drink or drugs. The male was taken to custody where he blew a whopping 140! More than three times the legal limit. He then spent the day and night in a cell to sober up before being charged to court.
We responded to reports of a vulnerable male who had suffering a mental health crisis was at significant risk of causing himself harm. We managed to locate the male very quickly thanks to really good communication from members of the community calling in and passing information. He is now safe and receiving help.
The team attended a report of an abandoned vehicle. The eagle-eyed resident noticed that the rear tyres were completely shredded. Checks on the VIN number showed that the vehicle was stolen on 25/06/26. The vehicle was recovered for further forensic enquires. This just shows how important your calls are, keep those eyes peeled!
A search was carried out on a suspected drug dealer and their vehicle near to ELMDON PARK following recent concerns raised by residents. A quantity of a cannabis was seized. This may seem minor, but it has led to a disruption in criminal activity in our area and hopefully deters these people from frequenting our area, especially a communal park.
Finally, the team attended a report of 3 missing children in the North of Solihull who were last seen playing outside together, the children had been gone for about 40 minutes. Our officers attended and located all 3 children within 5 minutes of attending the location. All 3 were safely returned to their parents, a safe and successful effort to reunite three families.
I hope you enjoy the next few days and we will be in touch again soon, regards,
