👮♂️🚓 Out in Force Across Thanet! 🚓👮♂️ Across the last couple days we were back out in force, and thankfully with a bit less sun bearing down on us! ☀️ It meant we could focus on areas we haven’t been able to get to as often due to demand elsewhere. We covered a wide area across Thanet 🌍 – from Minnis Bay 🏖️ to Westbrook, Cliffsend, Minster and beyond – getting out, being proactive and speaking with members of the public throughout the day 🤝 🏕️ Early Morning Work
We started by assisting the council with the removal of individuals who were unlawfully encamped on one of our seaside towns and who were also causing anti-social behaviour, impacting both residents and visitors. We also engaged with a local premises regarding immigration concerns, which were dealt with appropriately. 👮♂️ Supporting Local Policing
We made an arrest on behalf of local officers and spent time visiting local businesses 🏪, building relationships and offering reassurance. This helps us gauge who has been affected in recent times by events and helps us to establish ways to improve! 🚨 Responding to Demand
Alongside our proactive patrols, as a team we’ve also assisted with multiple arrests and responded to several emergency calls requiring a prompt and effective response. This highlights the balance between planned activity and reacting quickly when the public need us most. 🚫🏍️ Off-Road Bike Seized – Dane Valley
Whilst searching for a vehicle with no insurance in the Dane Valley area, we came across a rider using an off-road bike on the pavement. After stopping the rider, they admitted to having ❌ no licence and ❌ no insurance.
✅ 3 traffic offence tickets issued
✅ Bike seized A great proactive result 👏 – especially as this matched ongoing concerns raised by local residents. 💬 Positive Engagement
While waiting for recovery, we had a great chat with some local youths, who were keen to learn about policing – and even got a look around our patrol van 🚓 🌟 Working Together for Thanet
