Catapult Seized from Group of Youths

Following a report of a group of youths in possession of one catapult on Wheatfield Way, officers conducted area searches to locate those involved. A group was identified nearby and a short foot pursuit ensued. One youth was detained and found to be in possession of a catapult, along with a quantity of stones, which were seized. The youth is being dealt with in relation to being in possession of this.

We understand that recent incidents like this have caused  concern within the community. Please be reassured that we are taking this matter seriously, and officers will continue to provide reassurance and deter further incidents.
