Stolen Moped Recovered - Suspect Arrested

Today, local Neighbourhood Beat Officers PC Stoney and PC Parajuli responded promptly to a report of a suspected stolen moped being pushed by two males in the Barrack Hill area of Bredbury, Stockport.

On arrival, officers quickly located the individuals with the bike. One suspect was swiftly detained, while the second made off from the scene and remains outstanding.

Checks carried out at the time confirmed that the moped had in fact been stolen just the previous day (29/06/2026).

The detained suspect remains in custody for questioning, and officers are actively progressing enquiries to identify and locate the second individual involved.

This swift response highlights our ongoing commitment to tackling vehicle crime and anti-social behaviour in your area.
