Joint Action Taken to Tackle Anti-Social Behaviour in Monsall High Rise Flats 🚔 |
||
|
Residents of the Monsall high rise flats have recently raised concerns regarding ongoing anti-social behaviour within the communal areas of the buildings. In response to these reports, officers from Greater Manchester Police worked alongside Manchester City Council and the Anti-Social Behaviour Action Team (ASBAT) to carry out a coordinated day of action aimed at addressing the issues and improving the safety of residents.
During the operation, a number of addresses within the flats were visited and tenancy warnings were issued where appropriate. Community Protection Notices were also served on individuals responsible for persistent anti-social behaviour, reinforcing the message that such conduct will not be tolerated.
Officers conducted patrols throughout the area and carried out several stop searches on individuals found loitering in and around the flats. As a result of the activity, one male was arrested and currently remains in police custody at Central Park Police Station while enquiries continue.
Neighbourhood officers remain committed to working with partner agencies to tackle anti-social behaviour, support residents, and ensure that the Monsall community remains a safe place to live. We would like to thank local residents for continuing to report incidents and provide information that helps us take positive action.
Sergeant Hassan Mohammed, Neighbourhood Sergeant, said:
"This operation demonstrates the strength of partnership working between Greater Manchester Police, Manchester City Council and ASBAT. By working together, sharing information and taking coordinated action, we are able to address the issues that matter most to our residents. Anti-social behaviour can have a significant impact on people's quality of life, and we will continue to take robust action against those who cause harm and disruption within our communities. We want residents to feel safe in their homes and communal spaces, and we remain committed to listening to concerns, responding to reports and working alongside our partners to keep our neighbourhoods safe."
If you are experiencing anti-social behaviour or have information about criminal activity in your area, please continue to report it to Greater Manchester Police via 101, online, or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
