ASB Awareness Week – Joint Partnership Activity

Overview

As part of ongoing Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) awareness and prevention work, Chingford SNT Officers conducted joint partnership operations with Waltham Forest ASB Officers at two locations within the E4 ward area. The activity focused on reassurance patrols, community engagement, crime prevention advice, intelligence gathering, and environmental safety concerns.

Location: Station Road E4

Time: 1000hrs – 1400hrs

Meeting Point: Outside Chingford Library, Station Road E4

Activity Conducted

High-visibility reassurance foot patrols conducted along Station Road, E4.

Approximately 30 residents and members of the public engaged, with ASB awareness and Met Engage information leaflets distributed.

6 local businesses were visited and provided with crime prevention advice and relevant literature.

Engagement conducted with 1 vulnerable adult, offering safeguarding support, reassurance, and crime prevention advice.

6 Met Engage surveys completed.

Two intelligence-led weapon sweeps were carried out at:

Car park on Richmond Road E4 (rear of the Co-op and surrounding shops).
North Chingford Children’s Community Garden E4.

Results

No weapons or prohibited items were discovered during either search.

This represents a positive outcome for the local community and provides reassurance regarding the identified locations.

Outcome

The joint operation enhanced visibility within the area, reassured residents and businesses, promoted crime prevention messaging, and strengthened partnership efforts to tackle ASB and improve community confidence.
