Limehouse ward - Updates |
||
|
Hello Good People of Limehouse, We hope everyone has been keeping well. Please see below a brief update on recent incidents and the work your local Safer Neighbourhood Team has been carrying out across the ward.
Anti-Social Behaviour / Vehicle ASB We continue to receive reports of vehicles congregating at the end of West India Dock Road, causing noise and disturbance to local residents. This remains an area of concern, and we will continue to carry out targeted patrols. Further reports have also been received of males smoking cannabis around Dundee Wharf on Three Colt Street, causing anti-social behaviour in the area.
Residents have also reported drug-related activity around Westferry DLR Station. Officers are aware of these concerns and will continue to carry out patrols to deter this behaviour. As part of our ongoing work to tackle vehicle-related anti-social behaviour, ASB warning letters have been issued to the registered keepers of several vehicles linked to incidents on Beccles Street, Narrow Street and West India Dock Road. We will continue to identify offending vehicles and take appropriate action where necessary.
Theft A bike theft was reported on Narrow Street near Dunbar Wharf. We encourage all cyclists to secure their bikes using a good quality lock and to register their bikes on BikeRegister, which can assist police in identifying and recovering stolen bikes.
Police & Partner Activity Your Limehouse Safer Neighbourhood Team have been carrying out high-visibility patrols across the ward, focusing on areas where residents have reported anti-social behaviour, drug use and vehicle-related issues. We are also continuing to work closely with the Tower Hamlets Anti-Social Behaviour Team, who have been conducting patrols alongside us in key locations across the ward. If you see us out on patrol, please do come over and say hello. We are always happy to speak with residents, listen to your concerns and discuss any issues affecting your neighbourhood. Your information helps us identify local priorities and direct our patrols where they are needed most.
General Advice • Please continue to report anti-social behaviour and suspicious activity, as every report helps us build a clearer picture of ongoing issues. • If you witness drug use or vehicle-related anti-social behaviour, report it via 101 or through the Metropolitan Police online reporting service. Always call 999 if a crime is in progress or there is an immediate risk to safety. • Secure your bicycle with a good quality lock and consider registering it with BikeRegister. • Help keep our neighbourhood safe by reporting suspicious behaviour and speaking with your local officers when you see us out on patrol.
Until Next Update Thank you for your continued support and for reporting concerns to us.
