Day of Action Agar Street and the Strand

Yesterday on the 01.07.2026, between 16:00 PM and 18:00 PM, the local SNT team together with Westminster City Council and local partners carried out a Day of Action in around Agar Street, The Strand and Embankment

The main aim of this operation was to engage with members of the street population, offering support and assistance wherever possible and helping connect individuals with the services available to them.

At the same time, officers and council partners addressed any instances of anti-social behaviour (ASB) encountered during the operation, taking appropriate enforcement action when necessary.

The results were as followed,

Enforcement  

1 Community Protection Warning issued for ASB  

1 Traffic Offence Report issued for a vehicle parked on a fire exit bay

3 open alcohol containers confiscated from individuals drinking on the street  

Engagement  

20 engagements with members of the street population  

2 referrals to outreach services  

1 business engagement  

2 food provider engagements  

10 cyclists verbally warned regarding cycling on the public highway  

Working together with our partners allows us to support vulnerable individuals while helping to keep a Agar Street, The Strand and Embankment safe and welcoming place for everyone.
