Anti Social Behaviour Concern Update |
Here’s a quick update on anti-social behaviour locally. We know it can be distressing, but we’re working closely with partners to make the area safer and support residents. Officers from Bellingham and Sydenham SNT conducted joint patrols with the Lewisham Council Anti-Social Behaviour Team in the afternoon of Thursday 2nd July 2026. The SNT have been receiving reports of frequent large gatherings of people in Home Park drinking alcohol, smoking cannabis, and playing loud music throughout the day and evening. On this particular occasion, nothing was occurring. However, the aim of the joint patrols with the council was to issue fixed penalty notices (FPNs) to anyone breaching the local Public Spaces Protection Order that covers Home Park. The aim of the FPNs is to deter the ongoing anti-social behaviour that residents have been reporting at the park. SNT and Lewisham Council will be aiming to conduct further patrols in the future to be a deterrent for the ongoing anti-social behaviour so please continue to report any issues to police so that we can tackle them. Across London we’ve put hundreds more officers on the frontlines of community crime-fighting teams, upping visible patrols in the right ‘hot spots’ so we can deter and catch criminals - including with new tech like live facial recognition cameras, drones and e-bikes.
Antisocial behaviour can come in many forms and can require support from more organisations than just the police. A full list of what we categorise as antisocial behaviour is available on our website.
If you have experienced anti-social behaviour or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.met.police.uk or call the non-emergency number 101.
