Dear Residents, PCSO Gilkes here this is a quick round up from me and the rest of the Hillfield’s neighbourhood policing team. What`s been happening: We have conducted high visible patrols around your neighbourhood, engaging with residents, businesses and aiming at the hotspots for anti-social behaviour. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Your local Neighbourhood team have been out and about engaging in the community. This week, the team has attended two school summer fates, where we had the opportunity to meet children, parents and school teachers. It was great to engage with the community, answer questions about policing, provide crime safety advice, and allow the children to explore the police vehicle and equipment. We have also spent time in Signet Square this week, speaking with local residents and engaging with the children and families. It was great to see so many young people enjoying the park and field. Throughout the week , the team has also visited a number of our local shops and businesses, providing reassurance and checking in with staff and business owners. These visits gave us the opportunity to discuss any concerns. ARRESTS: This set our neighbourhood officers have made 9 successful arrest. . GREAT NEWS: Your local neighbourhood team are looking a setting up a Street watch in Hillfields. Street Watch Team is a community patrol initiative that helps you make a difference where you live. Street watch gives you and your community an opportunity to keep your area safe.
