We have received reports of individuals falsely claiming to represent government agencies, local authorities, or other official organisations, in uniform with sign written vehicles. ✅ Protect yourself:
• Always ask for identification and verify it independently, using official contact details from the official website. Don't use contact details provided by the individual.
• Do not provide personal or financial information unless you are certain of the caller's identity.
• Never feel pressured into making immediate payments or decisions.
• If in doubt, end the conversation and contact the organisation directly using official contact details from their website. 🚨 If you believe you have been targeted by a scam or suspicious individual, please report it to the police and Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040 or via www.actionfraud.police.uk.
