Local Priorities Robbery Message

I wanted to provide you an update regarding robbery, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

Good Afternoon Heston East Resident we wish to let you know that we held the Ward Panel Meeting on this past Wednesday where we were able to meet with Local residents and share their concerns that are effecting their happiness and wellbeing in the Heston East Ward. During the meeting we were able to listen to the concerns raised and give advice and help and by the end of the meeting we were able to set 3 Priorities for the Local Neighbourhood Team to focus on these are shown below.

ASB by Youths...
Residents stated that they have concerns over Anti Social Behaviour of youths in the local area where they have been seen knocking or kicking peoples doors and then running away and hiding from the residents or using the Door Bell to attract attention. Also they have said that youths are seen Up rooting Tree Saplings and Picking Flowers in the Local Park.

Parcel Thefts...
Residents stated that they have ordered products from Amazon or Ebay or other Shopping Apps and have had items that have stated that they have been delivered stolen from Door Steps or the Post Area on the New Build Areas of the Ward.

Theft from a person
Residents stated that have concerns over thefts from persons while out in the Local Areas and while out shopping in Hounslow these items are mobile phone and bags or wallets.

It is so important to us to listen to these concerns and see how we can help our residents out and give help when requested and due to that if have Alarms that we can hand out that can be attatched to Bags or items that can be used just let us know if you need one,

We will continue to tackle robbery in your local area. While we are investigating and arresting those responsible, please consider following the below advice to keep yourself and your property safe:  

• Do not leave your phone, tablet or other digital goods unattended, out of sight or on a table.  

• Be aware of your surroundings and only use your phone when it is safe to do so. 

• Put your phone away when you have finished using it.  

• Secure your phone by choosing a strong pin or password 

• Keep a note of your IMEU number (to access, type *#06# on your phone keypad) 

• Plan your route, especially if you are going somewhere you have not been before. Keep to busy, well-lit streets and walkways. Move with purpose and appear confident.
