Glossop SNT - An important message from Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service

With two significant wild fires already this year in the Glossop area and with more hot weather round the corner we can’t stress how important it is to not have fires in the Peak District area and surrounding Moorland. 

✅ Enjoy the beautiful countryside. 

✅ Take a picnic and take all your rubbish home or to a bin. 

✅Fancy a BBQ? - Keep it for your garden but always do it safely.

✅Always report to 999 if you see someone having a fire or BBQ in the open countryside. 

❌Never have a BBQ or fire in public space. 

Thank you to all the messages regarding water a food for the firefighters. Unfortunately we were unable to answer messages at the time due to the high demand on the crews. But we very much appreciate your kindness.
