Offender Sentenced |

Good afternoon all,
On Thursday 2nd July 2026, Christopher Harrison (36 years old) of no fixed abode, has been sentenced to 12 months in prison for breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order 5 times in 9 days, along with 2 assaults on LRI security staff.
Sgt David Wilson from the Riverside beat team said:
“This custodial sentence follows numerous breaches of a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO). The order was originally applied for, and obtained, after Harrison repeatedly approached lone females around the hospital, causing understandable distress and concern to many members of the public. It shows a clear focus from the beat team to tackle violence against women and girls (VAWG).”
“The CBO is designed to protect the public and, in this instance, in a hospital environment where people may already be vulnerable due to illness, injury or distressing circumstances. It is therefore reassuring to see a 12-month sentence imposed, which represents a positive step towards preventing further offending and safeguarding the community.”
“We work closely with the LRI and will continue to do so in tackling persistent offenders, with the aim of ensuring that staff, patients and members of the public can use the premises safely and for its intended purpose.”
