Multi-agency Partnership Deployment covering Hotspot locations in the West End & Chinatown, and Covent Garden.

On MONDAY 06TH JULY 2026 officers work alongside partner agencies, officers carried out a day of engagement and enforcement across the West End, Chinatown and Covent Garden. We spoke with members of the public about cycling safely on the highway, addressed reports of street-based anti-social behaviour (ASB), and took action where necessary to enforce Public Space Protection Orders covering ASB, the Controlled Drinking Zone and pedicabs.

The results from the operation were:

Enforcement

• 1 Arrest for breach of immigration bail

• 1 Arrest for being wanted on warrant for failing to appear in court

• 4 Community Protection Warnings for cycling on the highway

• 1 Community Protection Warning for ASB

• 5 Fixed Penalty Notices issued for dangerously parked dockless bikes

Engagement

• 21 Verbal warnings issued to individuals cycling on the highway

• 9 Business engagements, with crime prevention and queue management advice provided

• 1 Youth engagement

• 2 Welfare checks conducted, with advice provided on outreach services
