Cannabis seized in Werrington

Dear Resident,

Over the weekend, one of our neighbourhood officers seized some cannabis when they arrested a 43-year-old man.

The man was charged with unrelated offences and handed a community resolution for being in possession of cannabis.

A community resolution is an out of court method where the offender admits responsibility without going through formal court proceedings, and it is typically used for first-time offenders.

We will continue to take these drugs off the streets when we can.
