Seizing e-scooters in Diss

Your local neighbourhood officers were out in Diss yesterday afternoon and stopped a man using this private e-scooter. It was seized under section 165 of the Road Traffic Act and won’t be returned.

One of the most frequent concerns raised to us in that area right now is illegally modified electric bikes and private e-scooters being ridden through the town, often in a dangerous way.

Officers are actively trying to tackle this issue being raised to us, but we still need your help as we can’t be everywhere at once. Please do tell us if you know someone who is riding one of these or an illegally modified bike- the last thing we want is for people to get hurt, whether that is someone walking past or the owner themselves.
