🚔 Op Eagle Eye | Charlestown – Team 2 🚔 |
||
|
Officers from Op Eagle Eye have made two arrests following proactive patrols in the Charlestown area of Manchester.
Officers observed males acting suspiciously around a property, arriving and leaving on Surron bikes and repeatedly moving items in and out of an address. When officers approached, both males made off from the area.
During the pursuit, one male was seen discarding items into a nearby bin. These items were later recovered and identified as Class A drugs. The male continued to make off but was subsequently located inside an address and arrested on suspicion of:
✅ Possession with Intent to Supply Controlled Drugs
A search of the address led to the recovery of a quantity of suspected drugs, cash, and several knives.
Officers later located the second male, who was also arrested on suspicion of Possession with Intent to Supply Controlled Drugs.
💬 Sergeant Dand from the Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "This is another excellent example of the proactive work being carried out by officers as part of Op Eagle Eye. By acting on suspicious behaviour and taking swift action, officers have removed suspected drugs, cash linked to criminality, and dangerous weapons from our communities. Drug dealing and associated violence have a significant impact on local residents, and we remain committed to disrupting this activity and bringing offenders to justice. We will continue to target those involved in criminality and act on information provided by the public to keep Charlestown a safe place to live, work and visit."
These arrests demonstrate our continued commitment to tackling drug-related criminality, removing dangerous weapons from our communities, and keeping the streets of Charlestown safe.
