Increase in reports of burglaries.

Dear resident

Over the last few weeks, there has been an increase in reports of attempted burglaries. Particularly in the Orford and Poplars & Hulme area. 

The reports are of unknown males trying back doors to properties. 

Please be vigilant when it comes to home security. If you have CCTV, make sure it is working and lock anything you fell valuable out of sight. 

Don't leave keys next to doors and windows where they can be viewed and consider the 9 o'clock routine.

The 9 o'clock routine is a simple alarm you can set on your phone to remind you to check the perimeter of your property and that all your doors and windows are locked.

If you see something suspicious, please report it to the Police on 999 in an emergency or 101 in a non-emergency.
