Joint Working with Immigration |
||
|
Kent Police officers, working alongside Immigration Enforcement, recently carried out visits to a number of car wash businesses across Thanet. The aim of the operation was to ensure businesses are operating lawfully, while also safeguarding the welfare and wellbeing of workers. Checks focused on employment practices, worker welfare, and compliance with relevant legislation. These proactive visits form part of ongoing partnership work to identify and tackle potential exploitation, support vulnerable individuals, and ensure local businesses are meeting their legal responsibilities. Kent Police remains committed to working with partner agencies to keep communities safe, protect workers from harm, and address any concerns relating to modern slavery, labour exploitation, or other criminal activity. | ||
