Burglary Alert – Royton & Oldham Community |
🚨 Community Safety Alert – Burglary Prevention 🚨 Greater Manchester Police would like to make residents in the Royton area aware of recent burglary incidents reported locally. We are encouraging everyone to remain vigilant and take a few simple steps to help protect their homes and property. Safety Tips to Reduce the Risk of Burglary:🏠 Always lock doors and windows, even when at home. 🔑 Keep keys, wallets and valuable items out of sight and away from doors and windows. 💡 Use timer switches on lights when away from home to make your property appear occupied. 📹 Consider installing CCTV, video doorbells or security lighting. 🌳 Keep hedges and fences maintained to remove hiding places around your property. 📦 Avoid leaving deliveries or valuable items visible from outside. 🤝 Look out for neighbours, especially elderly or vulnerable residents, and report any suspicious activity. 🚗 Ensure vehicles are locked and remove valuables from sight. Report Suspicious ActivityIf you see anyone acting suspiciously in your neighbourhood, please report it: 📞 999 if a crime is in progress or there is an immediate threat. 📞 101 for non-emergency reports. 💻 Report online via the Greater Manchester Police website: www.gmp.police.uk
Working together helps keep our communities safe. Please share this message with family, friends and neighbours across Royton and Oldham.
Thank you for your continued support. Neighbourhood Policing Team | ||
