To support parents and guardians speaking to children about the dangers of open water, the Brigade has launched an inter-active Water Safety Map covering 1500 call outs and 112 accidental drowning since 2002. See also Water Safety .
You are reminded of the added risk if mobile phones, e-bike and scooters are charged in direct sunlight, see Batteries and chargers - Fire safety at home. Note also the risks to wifi routers from overheating.
Overall there is an added need for Neighbourhood Watch participants to also keep an eye open for vulnerable neighbours and ensure they are registered for priority attention in the event of disruption.
