Gamesley SNT - DRUGS AWARNESS EVENT 09/07/26

Gamesley SNT - Community Engagement Event 

PC Morris and PCSO Martin from Gamelsey SNT ran a community engagement event on ‘DRUGS AWARNESS’  - in helping to keep yourself or others safe   The event took place outside Gamesley Community Centre, Melandra Castel Rd, Gamesley on Thursday 9th July. 

This was a judgement-free zone for people to come and talk to the team about any concerns they may have about their own or anyone else's drug usage.    

We brought along leaflets that covered online and in person support in Gamesley and  the Glossopdale area.

Leaflets and freebies included:

• 1625 Outreach business cards to help anyone aged 16-25 (for drugs)
• Leaflets from the Bureau for their Social Prescribing team (for support and redirection)
• Derbyshire Recovery and Peer Support Services (for Mental Health)
• Qwell NHS counselling (for Mental Health)
• Spiking protection kits
• Information about helping someone who has been spiked
• Underage drinking
• Binge drinking

We will also be running the same event again in Charlesworth on 24th August - so please come along and meet your team.

We know that the hardest step to ending addiction is facing up to it, and we're here to help.
