Safety Surgery

Poplar Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) attended the Job Fair at St Matthias Church Poplar High Street, where officers also held a community safety surgery.

The job fair attracted many local residents and provided valuable opportunities to explore career options, receive employment support, and connect with local organisations. During the event, Poplar SNT engaged with attendees, offering crime prevention and personal safety advice, listening to community concerns, and encouraging residents to sign up to Met Engage, the Metropolitan Police’s new community engagement platform. Met Engage helps keep residents informed about local policing activity, community events, crime prevention advice, and opportunities to have their say on local policing priorities.

The event was a great opportunity to build stronger relationships with the community, promote public safety, and support local residents in exploring future career opportunities.
