Bonfires in Chislehurst and Walden Recreation Grounds

We have recently been made aware of groups setting up bonfires in both Chislehurst Recreation Ground and Walden Recreation Ground.

Lighting bonfires in public parks and open spaces is unacceptable and can constitute Anti-Social Behaviour. These fires pose a significant risk to public safety, nearby property, wildlife, and the environment. They can also cause damage to community spaces that are enjoyed by everyone.

We are asking members of the public to help us keep our local parks safe by reporting any incidents of bonfires, fires being prepared, or other anti-social behaviour.

 If a fire presents an immediate risk to life or property, call 999.
