Teenagers arrested for drugs offences in Wisbech

Our Wisbech neighbourhood officers have made another two drug-related arrests as part of their ongoing work to tackle drug supply, possession and associated anti-social behaviour in the town.

On Friday afternoon, plain-clothed officers were on patrol in Wisbech Park when they witnessed a suspected drug deal. A 16-year-old boy was detained and subsequently arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs after officers found cash and numerous unmarked vape liquid bottles suspected to contain synthetic cannabinoids.

Officers were back in the park yesterday morning when they witnessed another suspected drug deal. A 17-year-old boy was stopped and arrested after being found in possession of cash and foil wraps containing suspected Class A drugs.

Tackling drug supply, possession and associated anti-social behaviour in the Wisbech area remains one of the team's current priorities. These arrests form part of ongoing proactive efforts to address these issues, and officers will continue to carry out targeted patrols and days of action where possible.
