⚠️ Community Alert: Bogus Workmen Operating Door-to-Door ⚠️

We have received reports of individuals going door-to-door offering services such as roofing, guttering, driveway repairs, gardening, and other household maintenance work.

Residents are reminded to be cautious if approached in this way. Some people may use high-pressure sales tactics and try to persuade you to agree to work immediately.

✅ Take your time before making any decision
✅ Obtain quotes from reputable companies of your own choosing
✅ Ask for identification and check credentials
✅ Speak to family, friends, or neighbours if you are unsure

❌ Do not feel pressured into agreeing to work you do not want
❌ Do not hand over cash or make payments upfront unless you are satisfied the trader is genuine

If you are not happy for any work to be carried out, firmly refuse and ask the individual to leave. If they refuse to leave, become aggressive, or you feel threatened or intimidated, contact the police immediately.
