Vehicle Security Advice When Staying Away Overnight Whether attending a wedding, staying at a hotel, or visiting friends and family, a few simple precautions can help reduce the risk of vehicle crime:
✅ Remove all valuables from your vehicle, including bags, wallets, electronics, and charging cables. ✅ Lock all doors and windows before leaving your vehicle, even if parking in what appears to be a secure location. ✅ Park in well-lit areas and, where possible, choose locations covered by CCTV. ✅ Do not leave vehicle documents or spare keys inside the vehicle. ✅ Activate any alarms or security devices fitted to your vehicle. ✅ Avoid leaving items on display, as even low-value property can attract opportunist thieves or vandals. ✅ Report suspicious activity to venue staff or police as soon as possible. Working together, we can help keep our communities safe and reduce opportunities for vehicle crime.
Thank you for your continued support.
