Monthly community update from North Powys Roads Policing Sgt Rob Hamer - June 2026.
Hello everyone
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share a quick round up of the work that your local Roads Policing Unit have been doing in your area, what's coming up and how we are working with partners to keep our roads safe for those living in, working in and visiting North Powys.
From what our communities have told us we have been focusing on:
Priority 2 - ASB driving in Tregynon
In addition to the above we have also been conducting additional proactive road safety patrols and speed enforcement on the A483 Newtown to Welshpool. These additional patrols are in in response to concerns raised with us by your local councillors, community representatives and local residents.
To effectively tackle these issues we have been working with: These collaborations are helping us respond more effectively and holistically to community needs.
As a result we have: In addition to the above, advanced riders from our Police Motorcycle Team have been busy helping with the successful delivery of “Bike Safe” courses, helping riders of all experience levels to improve their riding skills and stay safe on the roads.
This coming month we will continue to target the issues affecting our communities by participating in the following Road Safety Campaigns: .
