Appeal: Assault on 14-year-old boy, Holbeach

Police are investigating a report of an assault involving a 14-year-old boy in the Holbeach area and have been in contact with the individual concerned.

The boy is reported to have been struck, kicked and punched, sustaining injuries to various parts of his body, including his nose, which resulted in a nosebleed. The incident was recorded by individuals present and the footage has since been circulated on social media.

Sergeant Callum Corder of South Holland Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "We understand that incidents of this nature can cause considerable concern within our community. Our priority is to establish the full circumstances surrounding what happened, and we would urge anyone who has information about this incident to come forward and speak with police. Any details, no matter how minor they may seem, could assist our enquiries.

“We would also ask members of the public not to share or redistribute footage of the incident. The circulation of such material can cause further distress to those affected and may impact ongoing investigative efforts.”

Police take reports of violence extremely seriously and are committed to conducting a thorough investigation into this incident. Everyone should be able to go about their daily lives without fear of violence or intimidation. We are working to establish all the facts and will take appropriate action against those responsible.
