Following a call to Leicestershire Police, the Ashby Beat Team recovered a stolen Ford Transit van from quite literally the middle of nowhere!

After a bit of a hike, officers located the vehicle and found a way in for the recovery team to do their thing. Thanks to the vigilance of a member of the public who reported the van, it will soon be reunited with its rightful owner. 👏

Always lock your vehicle and remove keys, even if leaving it unattended for a short time.

Consider using additional security devices such as steering wheel locks, pedal locks, or vehicle trackers.

Never leave valuables, tools, or paperwork on display.

Report any suspicious activity or abandoned vehicles to the police.
