Appeal for footage following assault in Croxley Green

Detectives are appealing for footage from members of the public as part of an ongoing investigation into a GBH assault in Croxley Green on Wednesday night (15 July).

It was reported that an altercation occurred in New Road, near the Fox and Hounds pub, at around 10.30pm, during which a man aged in his 40s sustained puncture wounds.

He was taken to hospital, but thankfully his injuries were not deemed to be serious.

A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and the investigation continues.

Detective Sergeant Colin Knowles, from the Criminal Investigation Department, said: “We believe that a number of people were in the area at the time, with several of them filming the incident. If you have any footage, we’d ask you to please upload it via our online portal so that it can be reviewed as part of our enquiries.

“We’d also be keen to hear from anyone else who saw what happened.

“While thankfully the victim was not seriously injured, behaviour of this kind has no place in our communities and we’re working to progress the investigation.”
